CBI- BSO CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM:

CBI identified the following business support organisations (BSO) which could impact export of engineering sector exports from Pakistan:

Objective of the BSOD Program was to build capacity of local BSOs to continue to support the engineering manufacturing and export sector of Pakistan. Successful implementation was expected to result in sustainable development and growth of engineering goods export from Pakistan.

Along the way, more BSOs were be trained through locally trained resource persons.

This effort resulted in the creation of PAAPAM Skill Development Centers at Lahore and Karachi, where the core team was trained through CBI BSOD.  Under guidance from CBI Experts, these centers have already become independently sustainable and have started playing their part in imparting skills which are needed in the manufacturing sector. It is expected that in the near future, CBI may partner with the PSDC for a local ECP in Pakistan.
