Founder:
Imtiaz Rastgar graduated from the University of the Punjab, Lahore in 1966. He is a serial entrepreneur and is the founder and Chairman of Rastgar Engineering Company as well as Rastgar & Co. From 2004-2007 he headed the Engineering Development Board of Pakistan, during which time he launched several Pakistani engineering sector companies into becoming successful exporters, through innovative government interventions. Policy initiatives taken in his tenure led to large scale expansion of the motorcycle, home appliances, and auto sectors as well recognition of several capitals goods manufacturing sectors for hand-holding by the Government of Pakistan.
